Dorothy A. Chambers, 87, of
Francisco passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born March 14, 1925 in Gibson County to William and Nora (Kelle)
Adler.
She was a member of Francisco General Baptist Church. She retired in 1981 from Hansen’s Manufacturing
after more than 37 years. She loved life and enjoyed reading, gardening and
cooking.
She is survived by her
daughter, Jean (Rudy) Roy of Ft. Branch; seven grandchildren, seven great
grandchildren and two great-great grandchild; a sister, Mary Baehl of Newburgh; and two brothers, Roy Adler of Evansville and Kenneth Adler of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Oscar Chambers in 1988; two brothers, Fred and Roland
Adler; and a sister, Roslie Norrick.
Funeral Services will be held
at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at the Francisco General Baptist Church, with Dr. Darrell Hillhouse
officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Francisco.
Visitation will be from 4
until 8
p.m. on Wednesday at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton and from 10 a.m.
until service time on Thursday at the church.
