Larry J. Washburn Sr., 70, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

 

He was born July 27, 1942 in Marshall, Ill. to H. Edward and Ruth (Sanders) Washburn. 

 

He was retired from Public Service Indiana, now Duke Energy where he was a unit operator. He had lived in Gibson County since 1975 moving here from Marshall, Ill. He had attended the Marshall Baptist Church in Marshall Ill. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Patoka, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine and Sons of the American Legion.

 

He is survived by his children Larry J. Washburn Jr. of Princeton; Tony A. Washburn (Millie) of Princeton; Rhonda L. Ort (Robbie) of Ft. Branch; Jim Piekarski of Dallas Texas; Patrick Piekarski of Detroit, Mich. sister, Ruby Goodwin of Danville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren Jeffrey Sisson, Courtney and Hunter Washburn, Robbie, Andrea, Johnnie and Taylor Ort, Alissa, Zach, Lacey, Ryan and Haley Piekarski, and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Emma Marie Washburn in 1985 and his second wife Linda Washburn in 2009, brother, Eddie Washburn and sisters Phyllis McDaniel and Sally Ferris.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall Ill.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 p.m. and visitation from noon until the service time Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery
