Lillian Pauline Schmidt Overbeck Tyring, age 89 passed away Oct. 20, 2012 at her residence.

 

We have lost the matriarch of our family and will miss her greatly, but we know that she is now with our heavenly father and has rejoined her family that has gone home before her. We are sure that she will be helping Jesus prepare a place for the rest of the family when our time comes to go home.

 

She was the daughter of John and Marie (Schumacher) Schmidt. Lillian was born July 17, 1923 near Mackey.

 

Lillian is a member of St. Matthew’s Church of Lynnville and the Church’s Women’s Guild. She graduated from Mackey High School in 1941.

 

She is survived by two daughters Betty Overbeck of Lynnville and Barbara Sanders of Spurgeon. Seven grandchildren; Brad Weisheit, Gene (Kristi) Morgan, Rachel (Jeff )Titzer, Greg (Jennifer) Luff, Johnathan Luff, Devan and Audra Sanders. Great-grandchildren; Tanner and Madison Ruppel, Ashlyn, Grace and Kylee Morgan, Austin, Jenna, Addison and Lexi Luff and Hayden Titzer. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son in 1945; a daughter Beverly Ann in 2000, grandson Brian Morgan in 1966, a brother Elmer Schmidt in 1990 and a sister Martha in 1993; First Husband of 23 years Wallace Overbeck in 1967 and second husband of 27 ˝  years Eugene Tyring in 2003.

 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. CST Thursday, Oct. 25 at St. Matthew’s Church, Lynnville.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. CST at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home, Lynnville and one hour prior to service at the Church. Interment at St. Matthew’s Church Cemetery.
