Bernice L. Rainey ( Aunt “B”), age 92, of
She was born in Princeton on
Feb. 16, 1920 to Charles and Glee (Hanley) Cunningham, both of whom precede.
She was married to James Alva
Rainey whom preceded in 1979.
Throughout her life she was
involved in numerous organizations which include her being a life member of the
American Legion post #25 Ladies Auxiliary, The Red Hat Society, and a member of
the Rebekah’s Nobel Grand Princeton Lodge # 40. She
was also a past President of the Gibson County Rebekah’s
and Past President of the Rebekah’s Ladies Auxiliary
state association as well as the Indiana State President of Rebekah’s
Militant Branch and was called upon twice to lay the wreath on the Tomb of The
Unknown Soldier on Memorial day. She was the Past Worthy Matron of The Eastern
Star as well as the Grand Matriarch. She was also the Worthy High Priestess of
the White Shrine of Mt. Carmel, Ill. and a member of Amerantz.
She was also a member of the
