PRINCETON—Andrew Thomas Akers, 62, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his parents, Tom and Dee Akers of Princeton; four sisters, Janet Heitz of Princeton, Susan Rudman and Sarah Sobanski (husband, Jim) all of Chicago and Donna (Akers) McIntosh (husband, Miles) of Indianapolis; also several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Annex in Princeton.
