Donald E. Hunt, 85,
peacefully passed away to his eternal home, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, he was surrounded by his loving family and his dear caregivers.
He was born July 7, 1927 in Wheeling, Indiana, one of ten children of Purley
and Opal (Clem) Hunt.
He retired in 1989 from
Ashland Oil Company. He enjoyed
gardening, sports, bird hunting, raising registered bird dogs, ice cream and
pie.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam Chavez of Evansville; his son, Greg Hunt of Richardson, Texas; a sister, Mary Phillips of Oakland City; a brother, Jack Hunt of Petersburg; two granddaughters; three great grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Glenn, Arthur, Roscoe
and Clarence Hunt; three sisters, Edith Cusick,
Dorothy Utley and Elizabeth Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday,
August 11, 2012 at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Chaplain Genevieve McGuire officiating.
Visitation will be from 5
until 8 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Community Cemetery in Union,
Indiana.
