David Owen Crowe Sr., age 62, of Henderson, Ky., entered rest on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was born on March 8, 1950 to Kathleen (Goins) and John J. Crowe in Princeton.

David graduated from Princeton High School in 1968 then enlisted into the U.S. Navy. He had been employed at Mid-States Rubber; Kings and Wabash Mines (member of the U.M.W.A.) and Maley and Wertz Lumber Company.

Survivors are sons: Andre Crowe; David Crowe Jr. of Princeton; Alexander Crowe and Blake Crowe of Bloomington. Daughters: Jane Spencer of Indianapolis; Josephine Crowe of Terre Haute; Ronda (Win) Case of Murfreesboro Tenn.; and Cathleen Crowe of Henderson, Ky. There are 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, a sister Laura Smith; a niece and a nephew of Wheaton, Ill. and host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harlan and Addie Crowe and Martin and Lorene Goins.

David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church located at 622 E. Emerson St. in Princeton. Doyle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
