Joseph R. Kunkel, age 62, of Patoka, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Hazelton.

He was born Aug. 3, 1949, in Princeton, to Earl and  Hazel (Robb) Kunkel, both of whom preceded him in death.

Joseph was a truck driver with Best Way Express, and on September 1, 1995, he was married to Betty Nordhorn.  

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Patoka; sons, Chris Kunkel of Newburgh, and Jeff (Tammie) Kunkel of Terre Haute. Other survivors include his daughters, Stacy (Randy) Beard of Jasper, Gayla (Joe) Lofton of Shelburn, and Shele (Dave) Holder of Evansville, as well as sister, Celia (Dean) Enyeart of Princeton and 10 grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary.

There will be a memorial service with Rev. Father Ron Zgunda officiating at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670.
