Irene “Roxie” Talbert Grant, 52, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2012 at the VNA Hospice Center in Evansville.

She was born January 22, 1960 in North Carolina to Robert & Peggy (Patterson) Talbert.

She attended Brown Chapel in North Carolina and was also a very active member of the Eagle’s Lodge #4288 of Oakland City. Roxie loved being outdoors. 

She is survived by her husband Billy Joe (Buck) Grant; mother Peggy Talbert; 2 sons Michael & Ronnie Talbert; step-son Jeremy Grant; sister Kay Ryan; 4 grandchildren; mother & father-in-law John & Alice Green; 3 brothers-in-law Larry & Tony Masters & Johnnie Grant; 2 sisters-in-law Barbara Crump & Cynthia Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Talbert and brother Raymond Talbert.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Miller Cemetery with Brother Harley Nickless officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.
