Leah Marie Otto, 29, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Indiana University Hospital in Paoli. 

She had been battling cancer for several years. She was born in Evansville Sept. 15, 1982 to Roger and Janene (Enochs) Greene.

She had been a college instructor at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon, Ga., in the nursing department. She formerly worked at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Evansville. She lived in rural Fort Branch for the past month, moving from Milledgeville, Ga. She was formerly of Princeton. 

She was a member of Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton, and while in Georgia, attended New Life Four Square Church. She graduated from Temple Christian Academy in 2000. She attended Ivy Tech College where she was President of Phi Theta Kappa and graduated from University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2005. She enjoyed playing bingo, geocaching, scrap booking, singing and spending time with her nephew, Ethan.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Otto, Fort Branch; mother and step-father, Janene and Roger Michel of Fort Branch, and father, Roger Greene, Oakland City; brother, Brandon (Rachel) Greene, Evansville; sister, Kara Greene, Princeton; step-brother, Nicholas Michel, Haubstadt; step-sister, Kendra Michel, Burnsville, MN; grandfather, Earl Enochs Jr., Patoka, grandmother, Genevieve Johnson, Bradenton, Fla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Randi Otto, Redlands, Calif.; brother-in-law Joseph Otto, Sandimas, Calif.; sister-in-law Kristina (Jason) Maupin, Upland, Calif.; grandmother-in-law, Peggy Anable, Redlands, Calif.; aunts, uncles, many cousins, and other family members, including a special nephew Ethan Greene.

Funeral services will be  at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Oasis Assembly of God Church, 1104 S. Stout St. in Princeton, with Rev. Mike Marsh and Rev. Glyn Pfohl officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Oasis Assembly of God church as well as 9 a.m. until the service time Wednesday. Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton, is handling arrangements.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the thousands of people in Leah’s support group through her fight against cancer.
