Shane Allen "Dozer" Miley 38, of Somerville passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

 

He was born on September 27, 1973 in Princeton, IN to Michael J. Miley and Peggy (Schafer) Bottoms. 

Shane was owner-operator of SMT Trucking and was employed by Bender Farms. He was a fan of Nascar Racing and the St. Louis Cardinals, but most of all he loved farming. 

He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Jamie (Ellerbrook) Rothrock of Somerville; mother, Peggy Bottoms of Somerville; father, Michael (Meda) Miley of Vincennes; brothers, Troy (Amy) Miley and Tim (Sue) Bottoms of Somerville, Clint Bottoms of Lynnville and Jeff (Debora) Bottoms of St. Phillips; sisters, Amanda (Justin) Blanton of Evansville and Syanda Miley of Indianapolis; great aunt, Gweneth Beasley of Francisco; nephew and niece, Heath and Katelynn Miley of Somerville; step-mother, Brenda Miley of Princeton; step grandmother, Frances Webb of Owensville; special friend, Bob Bender of Ft. Branch; and aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his step father, Kenneth Bottoms; and grandparents, Louis and Helen Schafer, Imal and Avis Miley and Maurice Webb. 

Shane will be sadly missed by his family, Jamie’s family, and his many friends. 

Funeral Services will be held at
2 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, officiated by Dr. Darrell Hillhouse. Burial will be at the Somerville Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 3 until 8 PM on Saturday and from noon until 2 PM on Sunday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City
