Margaret “June” Cousert, 82, of St. Joseph passed away Tuesday June 5, 2012 at Heartland ManorCare Champaign.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2012 at Providence Primative Baptist Church in Francisco, Indiana. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from Noon to 1 p.m. Arrangements by Freese Funeral Home 302 E. Grand Ave. St. Joseph, Il.

June was born June 3, 1930 in Oakland City, the daughter of Scott and Audie Richardson Powers. She married James Ralph Cousert on October 15, 1950 at Oakland City. He preceded her on March 14, 1987.

She is survived by a son Mark Cousert of St. Joseph. Four grandchildren Rachel Cousert, Paul Cousert, Lindsay Shymkewich, Meagen Beedy. Four great-grandchildren Kayla and Addison Shymkewich, Camden and Jackson Beedy, one sister Kathleen Barnet of Hartford, KY.

She was preceded by her parents and one son Scott Cousert.

June was a homemaker. She had worked some as a secretary. She was a sports fan. She was a member of the St. Joseph Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
