Madge Lee Decker, 93, passed
away Saturday May 12, 2012
at the Good Samaritan Home in Evansville.
She was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Princeton to John and Edna (Finney) Bishop.
She owned and operated Franks
Ladies Apparel on the Princeton Square for 18 years retiring in 1984. She graduated from Princeton High
School in 1936
and had lived in Princeton her entire lifetime.
She was a former member of
the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed following her son and grandsons in all
their sports activities through high school, legion and college. She followed
her son Joe Don’s accomplishments all the way thru the Cincinnati Reds baseball
organization.
She is survived by her son,
Dr. Donald Joe Decker of Vero Beach, Fla.; 3 grandchildren Kurt E., Chad E. and Quinn M.
Decker, 8 great grandchildren one sister Lois Bishop of Princeton; brother, J.R. Bishop of Naperville, Ill. ;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband Don Decker in 2001, and her daughter-in-law Merry
Decker in 2008.
Funeral services will be held
at the graveside in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus at 1 p.m.
Thursday
May 17, 2012 with Rev, Brian
Cook officiating. Burial will follow services. There will be no visitation.
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements.
