Bruce Alan Cansler, 64, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home in Mackey.
He was born in Princeton, Dec. 7, 1947 to Glenn and Nina (Hopkins)
Cansler.
He had lived in Mackey for
the past three years, moving there from Francisco. He was a veteran of the U.
S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam era from 1967-1971.
He is survived by his
children, Shane Cansler and wife Christina,
Boonville, Nicole Cansler and companion Nicholas, Oakland City, and Brittney Cansler,
Francisco, four grandchildren, siblings, Mark Cansler,
Oakland City and Melanie Cansler, Princeton.
He was devoted to his family
and to his best friend, Karla Richardson. His beautiful heart, generous spirit
and compassion for others will be forever missed.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev, Bob McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Forsythe Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the service time on Wednesday at the Colvin
Funeral Home. V.F.W. Post 1147 will conduct military graveside services.
