Charles Robert Bammer, 87, formerly of Princeton, passed away on March 17, 2012 in Ohio.

 

He was born on August 16, 1924 in Princeton to Albert and Eunice (Rainey) Bammer

He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a retired Teamster, and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1147, Princeton

He is survived by 3 children, Benjamin B. (Faith) Bammer of Leonard, MN, Robin Jari of Fremont, WI and Jim J. Bammer of Kenosha, WI; a sister, Joyce Ridgely of Pacific, MI; a brother, James Bammer of Patoka; an aunt, Berneice Rainey of Princeton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends including a special friend, Marie Moon. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Olivia Fern Mills and step-children, Douglas Hilty, Jeannine Lange and Jeffrey Jackson. 

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Tarrell Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Princeton. VFW Post #1147 will conduct military graveside services.
