Jerry Wayne Wire, 70, Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Transcendant Health
Care of Owensville.
He was born Jan. 20, 1942 in Evansville, to Floyd William and Dorothy Elizabeth.
He lived in Evansville for many years, graduating from Central High
School in
1960. He worked in accounting and then as manager of menswear for S&K
Menswear and DeJongs. He was also a past member
of several Evansville civic groups. He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church and choir in Princeton.
He is survived by his special
friend, Terry Lee of Princeton; two sons, Robert Paul Wire of Buffton, S.C. and Richard Paul Wire of Evansville; two grandsons and one granddaughter; and three
cousins, Jolinda (Terry) Van Bibber of Evansville, Betty Schofield of Newburgh and Barbara Moutoux of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, and his wife, Marcia (Draim) Wire.
A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Lisa Schubert and Pastor Brian Cook.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
