Frances E. Sinkhorn, 92, passed away Friday March 9, 2012 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born June 28, 1919 in Pike County to James F. and Edith (Lindsay) Sinkhorn.
She was retired from General
Electric where she worked in the finance department for 28 years retiring in
1983. She returned to Princeton in 2005 having lived in Florida since 1956. She was a 50 year member of the Pasadena Community Church in Pasadena FL where she was active in the United Methodist Women’s
Circle.
Frances loved children and after retiring she had a friend
who was a kindergarten teacher and she volunteered one day a week in her
classroom. She also volunteered at the All Children’s Hospital. She loved Florida. This was home to her and loved for her family to
visit and she enjoyed showing them points of interest around the St. Petersburg and gulf area.
She is survived by her
brother, Ben Sinkhorn of Aurora Colo. and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, her sisters LaDonne McEllhiney
and Joyce Farmer
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12
until 2
p.m. on Tuesday at the Colvin
