Helen Viola Hardiman, 101, departed this life Saturday evening, March 3, 2012 after suffering a heart attack at her home.
She was the oldest daughter
of Alice (Malone) and Raymond Hardiman.
Her entire life was spent in Gibson County. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and was faithful in her church. In 1928 she was
united in marriage to Alvin Hardiman and to this
union were four children, Beulah Viola Carter, Charles
Edward Hardiman, Arvill
Ellis Hardiman and Marvin Don Hardiman.
Her entire adult life was spent on the family farm with her husband, working
together.
Helen was preceded in death
by her husband, Alvin in 1994; three brothers, Floyd, Harold and Ellis Leon Hardiman; two sons, Arvill and
Marvin Hardiman and three grandchildren.
To cherish her memory, she
leaves a daughter, Beulah Carter and a son, Charles Hardiman
both of Princeton; eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-great
grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held
at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Dr. Floyd Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery west of Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
