Former Ft. Branch resident Marcia McCutchan
Williams, 93, died Monday, January 9, 2012 in Austin,
Texas.
She was born on October 9, 1918 in Vanderburgh County, IN to Anna Newmaster and
Martin A. McCutchan.
Marcia was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Wallace V. Williams and their young
son Tommy, as well as her brother I. C. McCutchan.
Marcia is survived by 2
daughters and their spouses, Ann Williams Frohbieter
and husband Gene of Houston, TX, and Jane Williams Daniel and husband Bill of
Austin, TX. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Tom Frohbieter and wife Hope of Richmond, TX; Ellen Daniel
Williamson and husband Kevin of Irving, TX; and Dr. David Daniel of Chattanooga, TN. She was also blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Eryn Frohbieter and Daniel
Williamson.
Marcia graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville and attended Lockyear's Business College, where she met her future husband, Wallace. They
married in 1939. Except for Wallace's service in the Navy during WWII, they
both resided in Ft. Branch and were members of the First United Methodist Church until 1962, when Wallace's job with Sun Oil Co.
transferred them to Dallas, TX. Marcia moved to Austin in 2002 and resided at the Summit Retirement Center until her death. Her family wishes to thank the staff
and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.
