Joe K. Gibson, 77, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Jan.12, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. 

He was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Webster County, Ky., and resided in Princeton for the past 57 years, coming from Kentucky. 

Joe was a truck driver for J. B. Hunt Transport.  He was a member of the Princeton Bowling Association. 

Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Thurby) Gibson; three sons, Jeff (Patty) Gibson, Randy (Cherry) Gibson and Jon (Anita) Gibson all of Princeton; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sister, Barbara Riggs of Sebree, Kentucky and Julie Wagner of Florida. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi Pearl (Owen) and Joe Parker Gibson and a son, Wayne Gibson in 2009. 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Gary Arnold officiating.  Burial will be at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. 

Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
