James “Jim” D. Colbert, age 80, of Antioch, TN passed away Thursday, January 27, 2012.

 

A native of Princeton, Indiana he was the son of the late Edward David Colbert and Opha Hubbard Colbert.

 

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Daniel Carr will officiate. Graveside Services will be Monday at 2:00PM in Princeton, Indiana.

 

Mr. Colbert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Martin Colbert; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Connie Colbert of Smyrna, TN, Michael and Janice Colbert of Normandy, TN, and James Colbert of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Malinda and Michael Mancuso of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gene Garrett of Alabama; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Carol Colbert of Indiana.

 

Mr. Colbert was a member and deacon at Mt. View Baptist Church. He was an engineer and owner of Colbert Manufacturing in Lavergne, TN. He also served in the National Guard.

 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mt. View Baptist Church. (12545 Old Hickory Blvd. Antioch, TN 37013)

 

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna
