Jerry Lee Adams

Jerry Lee Adams, age 74, of New Palestine, left us to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. Born on May 5, 1937, in Princeton, Ind., he was the son of Albert and Chloe (Jones) Adams.

Jerry graduated from Princeton High School in 1956 and married Janet C. McFetridge later that year. He worked for Indiana Gear Works in Indianapolis and also at the LaTouraine Coffee Company. Jerry retired from Dolly Madison after 22 years of service.

Jerry was an active member of Living Streams Community Church in McCordsville. He and Janet enjoyed square dancing as a hobby for over 32 years, both locally and nationally.

 Surviving him are his wife, Janet Adams of New Palestine; children, Terri (Dennis) Hemmerlein, Mike (Becky) Adams, all of New Palestine; grandchildren, Kara (Matt) Kidwell, Eric Hemmerlein, Bryant, Briana, and Branden Adams; step-grandchildren, Linzy, Logan, and Landon Carothers; great-grandson, Carson Adams; and sisters, Nancy (Dan) Sweeney of New Palestine, and Beverly (Jake) Barton of Princeton.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and son, Jeffrey Adams.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the mortuary. Pastor Greg Ruble will be officiating, and burial will take place at Washington Park East.
