William “Bill” Williamson,
72, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at the Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville.
He was born on April 10, 1939 in Illinois, the son of Delmar and Grace Williamson.
Bill graduated from Griffin High
School in
1958. He worked for Emge Packing Co. in Fort Branch for 21 years and retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge 231.
Survivors include his wife of
52 years, Judith (Freeman) Williamson; sons, Harold (Nancy) Williamson of Newburgh, Robert (Gail) Williamson of Enville, Tenn.; daughter, Trish (Troy) Bailey of Princeton; brother, Cleo (Joyce) Shultz of
Fort Collins, Colo.; sisters, Ruby Ott of Missouri,
Sondra Risley of Mount Carmel, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev.
Michael Bell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin.
Visitation will be from 4-8
p.m. Thursday with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
at the funeral home.
