Carolyn Wheeler, 74, of Winslow, passed away Monday Oct. 3, 2011 at home.

Born Jan. 12, 1937 in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of William A. and Dell (Jenkins) Messer. 

She was a cashier for Property Management Co. She lived in San Diego, Calif. from September 1974 to October 2010 and moved to Winslow at that time.

Survivors include husband, Terry Wheeler who she married Aug. 4, 1972 in Sacramento, Calif.; children, Charles E. Hamm of Bushnell, FL, Margaret Dawson of Cobb, GA,  Brent and Ricky Hamm both of Savannah, GA; sister, Delores Penman of San Diego, Calif.;  four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
