George “Lloyd” Yeager, 93, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at Deaconess Hospice Care.

He was born Sept. 22, 1918 in Spurgeon, Indiana to the late August and Lula Yager.

He served in the Army and was a WW II veteran.  He was a member of Westwood General Baptist Church where he was an elder and was a member of various organizations.

Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing the guitar and religious activities with the church.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Cathy Marcussen; son, James Yeager; grandchildren, Timothy Marcussen, Courtney Thomas, and Chad Marcussen; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louanna Pride Yeager in 2006.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at Westwood General Baptist Church, 121 S Boehne Camp Road, Evansville, IN. 47712, with the Rev. Dave Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel.
