Majorie (Smith) Welsh, 94, of Oceanside, California, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011.

She was born, Aug. 30, 1917, in Princeton to Edward H. and Marie (Gress) Smith.

She was raised in the Baldwin Heights area and later moved to Evansville and then to Oceanside, Calif. She worked for the government.

Survivors include nieces, Linda (Leland) Davis of California, Rita Huard of Arizona, Ralanna Smith of Princeton;  nephews, Ron Smith of California, Bruce Smith of Evansville;  sisters-in-laws, Shirley Smith of Princeton, Lois Davis of Arizona; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Myron Smith, Edward D. “Bud” Smith; husband, Paul Welsh; and sister-in-law, Ponsell Smith.
