Evelyn Ethel Walker, 75, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She was born Aug. 30, 1926 in Somerville to John and Golda (Smith) Hart.
She was homemaker and lived in Oakland City for the past 50 years moving there from Evansville.
Evelyn enjoyed embroidering, reading and
working different types of puzzles. She also loved her grand dogs.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna
Walker, of Oakland City, Linda Walker, of Princeton; a sister, Ida Malone, of Crown Point; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Evelyn Hart, House Springs, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband Alva Ray Walker in 1995; a brother, George
Hart; and her stepfather, Bill Clark.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept
28, 2011 at Corn-Colvin
Funeral Home in Oakland City with the Rev. Fred Brittain
officiating. Burial will follow at the Lynnville Cemetery in Lynnville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon
until the service hour on Wednesday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
