Esther N. Key, 87, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at the Gibson General Hospital-Skilled Nursing
Facility in Princeton.
She was born Jan. 17, 1924 in Princeton to David R and Inez (Parrett)
Key.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at Gibson General Hospital for several years. She attended Patoka United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School
for many years and started the “Muppet” puppet ministry at the church.
She is survived by her nephew, James Key of
Patoka; niece, Evelyn Carlisle of Patoka; sister-in-law, Mary L. Key; and
numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and
two brothers.
Graveside services will be at 6 p.m Tuesday,
Sept. 13, 2011 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton with Pastor Daniel Payton officiating. Burial will
follow the service. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. There
will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
