Yvonne L. Garrett, 95, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville.

She was born March 21, 1916 in Crystal City, MO the daughter of John L. and Mary (Villar) Drissel.

Yvonne was a member of First Christian Church of Owensville.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Fred) Brashear of Bowling Green, Ky.; son, Lester (Sue) Garrett of Evansville; grandchildren, Allen Garrett, Cassie Neel, Jeff, Joel, Jason, Jared Brashear; great-grandchildren, Beth Plumlee, Justin, Tyler and Cody Garrett, Alec, Awtum, Emma, Lilly, Luke and Hadley Brashear; and great-great-grandson, Zachary Plumlee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, G. Vernon Garrett on July 27, 2008.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
