Carrie "Lynn" Emberson, 49 of Patoka passed on to be with her heavenly family Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011.

She was born Feb. 23, 1962 in Evansville. She lived in Patoka, Ind. for the last two and a half years, coming from Evansville, where she worked for Guardian Automotive.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 25 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Danny Joe Emberson; children, Samatha Emberson, Kimberly Emberson (fiancée, Chris Crowe), and Jeannie (Alan) Chanacki; eight grandchildren, Rachael, Reece, Randall, Jasmine, Conner, Anthony, Aiden and Jenna; her mother, Mary Lois (Johnson) Powers; sisters, Cynthia (Manuel) Vela, Cathi (Dennis) Alford; brothers, Steve Joseph Sr., Paul (Chris) Davis and Bruce (Georgia) Davis; dear friend, Toi Clark, aunts, Geneva Johnson and Eloise Spivey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends at the river.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Catherine (Parson) Johnson; and a brother, Brian L. Davis.

The family has requested private services. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
