Concetta Woods, wife of William Woods formerly of Francisco,
went to heaven on Aug. 3, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
She is survived by her
husband Bill Woods of Endwell, NY, who devoted his life to her care; her
children, William Jr. and Dawn Woods of Newton MA, Michele and Michael Koubeck of Easton CT, Mark Woods of Kannapolis, NC, and
Dorothea and Michael Gaston of Apalachin, NY; her six
grandchildren, Devon, Adam, Morgan, Jack, Monica and Taylor; and other special
family members, Sue and Lyman O’Neal, Mitchell and Merci Woods, Cheri Parker,
Shirley Woods, James Jr. and Bea Woods, and David and Jane Woods.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Marie and Michael Pagano.
Connie lived with her family
in Evansville for almost a decade before moving to Endwell NY where she resided for over 40 years. She had great
faith in God and love for her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Endicott, NY. Connie spent her childhood being raised by the
Sisters of Saint Cyril at the Jenota orphanage in Middletown, PA and then at the St. Cyril Academy in Danville PA. She worked for Aramco
(Arabian American Oil Company) in Saudi Arabia for eleven years; this is where she met Bill and was
married in 1962 in Manamah Bahrain. Connie also retired from the Union Endicott School
District.
There will be a graveside
service prior to the interment of her cremated remains at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 2013 at the Francisco Cemetery in Francisco. Family and friends are welcome to
attend the service. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
