Dora M. Wallace, 95, of Oakland City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at the Core Nursing Rehab of Evansville.
Born Jan. 26, 1916 in Pike County, she was the daughter of Orvil
and Lois (Barrett) Spaw.
She worked as a beautician and she was a
member of the Rebekah Lodge; a 50 year member of the
Order of the Eastern Star in Oakland City and Mt. Vernon and a member of the Shrine Patrol. She was also
a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oakland City.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie
C. Cousert of Anderson, Sharon A. Fifer of Griffin, Cynthia S. Wade of Evansville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband, Chester Wallace; sisters, Janavie
Weisman, Lois Snow, June Sermersheim; and brother,
Harold Spaw.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday,
Aug. 16 at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.
