Gary D. King, 55, passed away Sunday Aug. 21,
2011 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
He was born in DuQuoin, Ill. on Jan. 31, 1956 to Oval and Barbara (Morgan) King.
He worked at Amax Coal in Keensburg, Ill., in the Tool and Die Dept. at Rexam
and last worked for Industrial Filter Manufacturers.
He lived in Princeton since September 1994, moving here from Cartersville, Ill. He graduated from High School in Ziegler, Ill. in 1974 and received an associates
degree from Vincennes University. He enjoyed playing the guitar and collecting
coins.
He is survived by his wife, Melody King of Princeton; two daughters, Amanda and Andrea King both of Princeton; a brother, Jack (Joyce) King of Vienna Austria; one niece, Stephanie (Rod) Claros
of Houston, Texas; and one nephew, Jon (Lesley) King of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; and his son, Aaron Michael King in 2005.
Graveside services will be at noon, Friday
Aug. 26, 2011 at the Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville, Ill. Burial will follow services. Family and
friends will meet at the cemetery for the services.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
