Loren M. “Mose”
Higginbotham, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1936 in Owensville the son of Donald M. and Lillian (Wininger) Higginbotham.
Mose was a
graduate of Owensville High
School,
served in the United States Army, retired from the Indiana State Highway Dept.
as a surveyor for 39 years. He was a member of the Vincennes V.F.W. and the Poseyville American Legion.
Survivors include his brothers, Bennie,
Edward and Greg Higginbotham; nephew, Mathieu Higginbotham; and great-nephew,
Clinton Higginbotham.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; and a special friend, Freida Adams.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m., September 6, 2011 at Holders Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Reeder
officiating.
Burial will be in the Maumee cemetery with military rites conducted by the
American Legion Post 51, the Princeton VFW 1147 and South Gibson VFW Post 2714.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a memorial service
to share memories of Mose at 7:30 pm.
