He served in the U.S. Navy during World War
II as a torpedo-man’s mate third class. He served aboard the USS Robinson in
the Pacific Fleet.
He retired in 1984 from Arrowhead Products
Corp. in
Survivors include two sons, Jerry R. (Carol)
Garrett of Fort Branch, William (Diane) Garrett of Corona, Calif.; a daughter,
Janet S. (Billy) Mason of San Jacinto, Calif.; two sisters, Peggy Ann (Kenneth)
Dillon of Owensville and Phyllis (Allen) Moffett of Clearwater, Fla.; five
granddaughters; 15 great-grandchildren; one step-grandson; two
step-granddaughters; four step-great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
