Walter A. Ellerbruck,
Sr., 82, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
He was born Nov. 1, 1928 in Gibson County and resided in this area his entire life.
He attended New Life Tabernacle in Oakland City. He retired in 1989 from Whirlpool Corp. and
also formerly worked for Dewig Meat’s and Farms in
Haubstadt.
Survivors include his wife, Cleatis (McDowell) Ellerbruck of
Somerville; a daughter, Debra M. Willis of Somerville; a brother, Virgil R. Ellerbruck
of Evansville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, Frank E. and Rose M. (Seipert) Ellerbruck; two sons, Robert E. Ellerbruck
and Walter A. Ellerbruck, Jr.; two sisters, Loraine Ellerbruck and Barbara L. Reising;
and a brother, Jerry L. Ellerbruck.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Henry Nelson officiating. Burial
will be at Forsythe Cemetery near Oakland City.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
