Margaret “Margee” Brogan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 1,
2011 at the Skilled Nursing
Facility at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, where she was attended to by a caring and
compassionate staff of nurses and aides.
Margee was born in Oakland City and resided there most of her life. She
attended McCullough Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved her family and others
with a generous heart. She enjoyed listening to music and writing
poems. She has a wonderful sense of humor and loved and prayed for
children everywhere.
She is survived by her three children,
Bob (Kathy) Brogan of Petersburg, Ella May (Ed) Whitten of Princeton, Charley
(Terrie) Brogan of Francisco; grandchildren, Amy Brogan, Andy (Amanda) Whitten,
Matt (Anita) Whitten, John Whitten, Shane (Cindy) Brogan, David (Carrie)
Brogan; step grandchildren, Tifani Burns, Jed (Jamie)
Burns, Emily Burns, Beth Hutchinson; 12 great grandchildren; and one
great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Paul Brogan; her parents, Denvy and EllaMay Sills; brother, Bill Cherry; and sister, Pauline
Goodson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (central) on Friday Aug. 5, 2011 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Ken Thomas officiating. Burial will be
at the Francisco I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. (central) on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at Corn-Colvin Funeral
Home in Oakland City.
