Lorene Miller, 86 of Oakland City died on Tuesday, July 26, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born Nov. 7, 1924 to Arthur and Lola (Haynes) Kissel.

She was the retired owner/operator of Miller Hardware/Grocery. She was a member of McCullough Grove Baptist Church in Oakland City.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lavon and Rev. Amos Dees of Winslow and Karen and Jim Earles of Oakland City; grandchildren Kristi, Jenny, Gregg, Kelly and Tara; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Miller in 2001; and a sister, Alice Decker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McCullough Grove Baptist Church in Oakland City, with Rev. Kenneth Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
