Robert E. Martin, 86, passed
away Tuesday, July 12, 2011
at Deaconess Hospital.
He was born Feb. 26, 1925 in Fort Branch, he was the son of George and Macel
Pearl (Julian) Martin.
He was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church, a graduate of Cynthiana High
School,
served in the United States Navy during World War II, the Korean conflict and
retired from Naval Avionics facility.
Survivors include his wife of
51 years, Gertie (Marcum) Martin; daughters, Betty
Dickson of Albuquerque , NM, Jean Koontz of Wheaton, Ill.; sister, Frances Webb of Owensville; and several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; and two grandchildren. Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday,
July 16, 2011, at Holders
Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev. Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will
be in the Owensville Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by
Princeton VFW Post 1147 and Owensville American Legion Post 51.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
