Kathryn Jane Wade, 81, of Carmel, passed away June 25, 2011.

Born Dec. 28, 1929 in Princeton, she was the daughter of William and Mable Walts Montgomery. 

Kathryn worked for more than 25 years as head cashier at Carmel Junior High School.  She was a member of the Carmel Order of Eastern Star Chapter 494 and the American Legion Auxiliary 34. 

Survivors include daughters, Paula (David) Snyder, Alice (Scott) Bohl; grandchildren, Chris, Kyle, Nick (Kendra), Katie, Jacob and Joshua; great granddaughter, Madeline and three step-grandchildren, Darren, Annie and Lindsay. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Stanford E. Wade; and husband, Clarence E. Wade Jr. 

Family and friends will gather from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, of which Kathryn was a member. 

The funeral service will also be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the church with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will take place at 4:30 p.m. (central) at Maumee cemetery in Johnson.
