Roseleen C. Cummins, 88, of Fort Branch, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Francisco.
Born Feb. 1, 1923, in Fort Branch, IN, she was the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Pohl)
Weiss.
Roseleen was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Somerville. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved by
all who knew her. She worked at Allison Aircraft during WW II. She was known at
Zeke's for her chili, known as Rose's chili.
She is survived by four children, Jeanie Friedman
of Henderson, Ky., Ronald Cummins of Evansville, Susan Collins of Francisco, David Cummins of Fort Branch; a sister, Viola Weiss of Evansville; seven
grandchildren, Angie Hall, Scott Friedman, Ryan Cummins, Jason , Joshua, and
Jesse Collins, Caleb Cummins; and eight great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alison,
Emily, and Olivia Hall, Hailey, Payton, Anna and Dalton Cummins.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband Marcellus A. "Zeke" Cummins; a grandson, Justin Cummins; one
granddaughter, Rachel Cummins; a great-grandson, Austin Hall; two brothers,
Wilbert and Cletus Weiss; and two sisters, Alfrieda
Mackey and Henrietta Rainey.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Somerville, with Pastor Joseph Collins officiating. Burial will
be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
Visitation was 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Stodghill
funeral Home in Fort Branch and from 9 a.m. until the
service hour on Monday at the church.
