Russell A. Coleman, 47, Princeton — remembered as “Russ” or “Rusty” by
friends and family — passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home after a long struggle with depression,
and more recently, diabetes.
Born in Chicago, Ill., he spent most of his life in Princeton. Russ graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1982 and attended Vincennes University. He worked for many years at the Princeton Daily Clarion,
followed by several years at Rexam Closures and most
recently at the American Legion.
Russ is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law, Richard and Roxann Coleman of Princeton; and his friend and caregiver, Toni Morrison of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Claude and Flora Breeden; his father, Ralph Coleman in 1973; his
mother, Carolyn Jane Coleman in 2003; and his brother, Robert Coleman in 1986.
A memorial service will be
at 3
p.m. Friday, June 17,
2011 in the Celestin Center at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda officiating. Colvin
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
