Norma Jean Armstrong, 89, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the home of her daughter with her family by her
side.
She was born March 20, 1922 in Gibson County to William Byron and Laura Ellen “Ella”(Hays)
Jones.
She lived most of her life in Gibson County. She was a member of Union Bethel Presbyterian Church near Mt. Olympus. She retired as a foreman in the coil
department from Hansen Corp. after many years. After retirement, she and
her husband, Burns, enjoyed traveling, camping and spending winters in Florida.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirlan Sue Shoultz of Princeton,
Wanda Lea Shoultz of Fort Branch, Shelby Jean
(Richard) Turner of Princeton; son, Gary Adrian Shoultz
of Princeton; nine grandchildren, Vicki Chandler, Lana Tillie, Jeff Chandler,
Kaye Cates, Brad Steelman, Jan Weist,
Doug Robling, Leah Robling,
Stacey Ingels; 18 great grandchildren; and three
great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents;
first husband, Adrian Buford Shoultz; second husband,
Allen Burns Armstrong; and her brother, Henry Frank Jones.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Chaplain Genevieve McGuire officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Colvin Funeral
Home.
