Wilma S. Willis, 78, passed away Monday, May 16,
2011 at Amber Manor Nursing
Home in Petersburg.
Born June 27, 1932 in Pike County, she was the daughter of Marion and Verna (Woods) Falls.
She lived in Petersburg since 1964, coming from Evansville. She had worked for many years at Uniroyal Rubber in Washington. She was a member of Knights Chapel Church in rural Petersburg. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching
hummingbirds and driving in the country.
Wilma is survived by her husband,
Edward “Ed” Willis of Petersburg;
daughter-in-law, Nyla Willis Dooley of Petersburg; two grandsons; four great grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; son, Daniel Willis in 1981; infant daughter, Patricia Ann Willis; two
brothers; and five sisters.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. (central) on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Knights Chapel Cemetery in Petersburg, with Brian Willis officiating. Family and friends
will meet at the cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
