Michael C. (Mick) Taylor, 65, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

 Born Feb. 25, 1946 in Corydon, Ky. he was the son of Charles J. (Shine) and Anna Marie (Sights) Taylor.

 Mick was a graduate of Owensville High School class 1964, worked at Duke Energy,  was a previous employee of Holders Furniture and Funeral Home, member of the Owensville General Baptist Church, served in the United States Air Force, was past President of the Owensville Little League, served on the town council, was a member of the Owensville Montgomery Fire Protection District and was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

 Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Percilla (Tichenor) Taylor; daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Lintzenich; grandson, Taylor Lintzenich; sisters, Maria Adams, Connie Bernhardt; brothers, Dick (Judy), Danny (Mona), Garry (Tina) Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Owensville General Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Douglas officiating.
