Jerry Wayne Newlin, 76, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Born June 15, 1934 in Robinson, Ill., he was the son of Amer and Thelma Newlin.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Newlin of Patoka; eight children, Cindy Newlin, Mark Newlin, Amer Newlin, Gerri Sumner, Becky Newlin, Danny Newlin, Dawn Canfield, Jeremy Newlin; two sisters, Reba Reynolds and Linda York both of Illinois; 20 grandchildren;  and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one a grandson.

 Family and friends are welcomed to visit from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the home of Danny Newlin, 203 W Vine St., Patoka, IN 47666.  There will be no other services.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling arrangements.
