Welzie  (Red) Julian Jr., 75, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Tampa, Fla.

He was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Princeton.

He came to Port Charlotte  in1999, after his retirement. He was a member of the Edgewater United Methodist Church, Gulf Coast Emmaus Community, Elks of Port Charlotte, Half Century Soft Ball Club and served in the US Navy from 1955-59.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ada (Sandy) Julian of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a son, Anthony Lee Julian of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a daughter, Tracy Lyn (Jim) Ballinger of Crestwood, Ky.; two brothers, Jim (Arlene) Julian of Leesburg, Fla., Jerry (Sue) Julian of Panama City, Fla.; four sisters, Betty Bateman, Barbara Grable, Weize (Bob) Sinkhorn all of Princeton, Patsy Stetzer of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren, Dacia, Ashton and Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Jim (Phyllis) Wallace of Port Charlotte, Fla., Fred (Viola) Wallace of Brandon, Fla.; and father-in-law, Royce Wallace of Port Charlotte, Fla.

A celebration of his life will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Edgewater United Methodist Church, 19190 Cochran Blvd.. Port Charlotte, Fla. with the Rev. Dan Prine officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
