William L. “Blue” Garrett, 69, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at The Waters of Princeton.

 Born Sept. 5, 1941  in Gibson County, he was the son of Lawrence Lloyd and Lena V. (Cross) Garrett.

 He graduated from Owensville High School with the class of 1959, retired from Emge Meat Packing Co. and was a member of Prince Lodge 231 F. & A.M.

 Survivors include his daughters, Becky (Craig) Denbo of Princeton, Beth (Robert) McCurry of Buna, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Tyler Denbo and his fiancé Jess Cason, Jessica Green, Kim King, Jennifer King, Angel Flowers, Kyle Denbo, Kenny King, Casey Denbo, Amanda (Joey) Tindle, Christina (Zachariah) Sumner, Melissa Denbo, Ian McCurry and Shane McCurry; 10 great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Skylyn, Talyn King, Blake Green – Kelm, Iziah Saum, Laila Denbo, Kristlin McCurry, Alexis Sumner, Becca McCurry and Andrea Flowers; and sister, Georganna Campbell.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dianne (Scott) Garrett in 1981; sisters, Colleen Strickland, Geneve Wagner and Eldora Garrett.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bart Newton officiating.  Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery at a later date because of the extreme wet conditions.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Masonic rites at 7 p.m.
