Barbara J. Ford, 84 of Princeton, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She was born June 19, 1926 in Vermillion County to Homer and Opal (Lewis) McCown. Barbara was a math & science high school teacher in Princeton and later in Vincennes retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Broadway Christian Church in Princeton. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma and Knox County Retired Teachers.


She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Glenn "Mac" Ford (Angie) of Princeton; daughter, Debra Blair of Marion, IN; 5 grandchildren, Mackenzie Ford, Christine Ford, Laura Blair, Melissa Blair and Jason Evans; and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Salmond; and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Ford.


A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday May 15, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Lisa Schubert officiating. Burial will follow at Archer Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time on Sunday.
