Ruby M. Rumble, 89, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born Sept. 6, 1921 in Princeton, to Ernest and Orpha
(Woods) Scott.
She was a member of Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton. Ruby was a 60 year member of the Extension
Homemakers “Marsh Creek” and then “Hazleton Homemakers”, a 50 year member of
Farm Bureau Inc, the historian and a instructor for
the Red Cross, a volunteer gray lady at Baldwin Heights School and a longtime member of the Indiana Rural Youth.
Ruby is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Scott and Anna Rumble of Lafayette; daughter and son-in-law,
Ann and Bert Hyneman of Mt. Olympus; seven
grandchildren, Andrea (Matt) Turner, Kayla Dillon, Samantha Hyneman,
Stephanie (Matt) Bosma, Susan Rumble, Karen (Kurt)
Peters and Ryan Rumble; eight great-grandchildren, Grace, William, Jonah, Joy
and Ruby Bosma and Grant, Lauren and Katelyn Peters; and her companion, Hayward McEllhiney.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Elmer Rumble in 2002; and two sisters, Lois Lasley
and Mildred Binkley.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton, with the Rev. Ron Marsh officiating. Burial will be
at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
